Fun at Convention 2012

We had so much fun at convention last week!  I had two girls from my downline come, Jennifer and Julie.  I roomed with my upline Rolanda and two other demonstrators, Shelli and Michelle. We also hung out with our friends, Jan, Patti and Vanessa.  You just gotta have girl time every now and then.  You get to be silly, talk as much as you want, share ideas, and just have fun!  I always look forward to convention and Leadership every year.  And now I get to go to St. George Utah again in September.  I earned a place with the top 100 demonstrators and get to go on the Founders Circle trip again this year!!! I am so excited!  It was such a great experience for me last year and I am shocked that I made it again. Thank you to all of you who helped me get there!  So here are some more pictures from convention.....
We have a tradition..every year we come in a day early to get situated , relax and we go see a movie at the Megaplex Theater! This year we saw People Like Us.

My Daughter's Birthday

My oldest daughter Megan, turned 28 yesterday!  Boy does that make me feel old! I cooked a delicious dinner and Jennifer her sister made the birhday cake.   I forgot to take pictures of the food!  I made an Italian dish and a salad I found on Pinterest.  Both were very good.

Megan turns 28!

Ummm...cake!

Aunt Megan and Papa admiring our new addition.

Another swap for Convention!

I have done 4 sets of 40 and one set of 50 cards to swap at convention!  Here id the last one I came up with. It is a very easy card.  Used only Whisper White and Rose Red Card Stock and Rose Red Ink.  The stamp set is Papillon Potpourri and Sweet Essentials.  I also used the new Elegant Butterfly punch and the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder.

Double Class Day went Great!

I wanted to post what we made Saturday at my Double Class Day on Saturday!  I did a Summer Wreath Class and  a Garden Stake Class.  No Stamping!  Can you beleive it?  We strickly used and created with the Big Shot!  It was fun.

July Hostess Club Cards

I have all three of my hostess clubs this week!  Monday, Thursday and Friday.  I love these groups of women.  Every group is different and so much fun!  We meet once a month to stamp, laugh, have fun and catch up.  My Monday group loved these cards. I hope you do too!

I cased this card from a very talented demonstrator Dawn Olchefske.  She came across this technique that we demonstrators were doing years ago and brought it back.  I had forgotten about this one, but love it and it is so easy!  This card uses Creative Elements Stamp set, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso Card stock, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso Ink, Early Espresso Bakers Twine and our new Natural buttons. Think of the possibilities...Christmas, Valentines, Masculine.....

This beautiful card was originally created by France Martin.  Another very talented Demonstrator.  France was one of my table mates for dinner when we went on the Alaskan Cruise.  Just love her!!  This card uses the Apothecary Art stamp set and the coordinating Labels Collection Framelits.  I used the the new in Colors Primrose Petals and Gumball green and I changed the ribbon to match it which is Primrose petals Stitched Satin ribbon with an added bow (got this idea from my upline Rolanda Patton). The other thing I changed was the embossing folder.  I went with the Argyle folder to accent the dotted lines on the stamp.  The flowers are covered with dazzling details (a glitter glue) which you probably can't see in the photo.

My new Grandbaby!

I have been pretty pre-occupied lately!  I have a new Grand Baby! Everleigh Lane Jacobs was born on July 3rd.  So of course I have to show you a few pictures!  My first grand daughter.  It has been so much fun shopping for her, after 2 grandsons.  I love my little boys, but little girls are just more fun to dress up!

Aren't they a sweet family?

Of course we had to take pictures of big brother Kellan also!

Workshop Cards

These are the two Make n' Takes we did at my workshop last Friday night.
This is a super easy card using our Papillon Potpourri and Curly Cute stamp sets.  I stamped the center butterfly with Primrose Petals, then stamped two more times without re-inking stamp.

Another easy card! I saw this card on Ronda Wade's site.  I omitted the ribbon.  Again, I stamped the first flower and then stamped the second one without re-inking to get a lighter shade.  I love this new set, Blooming With Kindness.  The colors I used are Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.
