Hostess Club Card

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I did.  I had my Hostess club Friday night with some of my favorite ladies!  I had my Stamp a Stack Class on Saturday morning with some more of my favorite ladies!  I just love all of my friends (customers).

My daughters came out Saturday afternoon and we cooked a big Mexican fiesta together. ( I will have to post those pictures on a different post)  We had fun cooking and eating together. I love spending time with my girls! Sunday, Tim and I spent some time with our mom's and then went to dinner with some dear friends we haven't seen in a long time. So...I had a very fun and rewarding weekend. 

This is one of  the cards we made Friday night.  I will post the second one tomorrow!

I copied this Lattice technique from Leann Greff.  I changed the colors, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry Garden Green and Very Vanilla.  I used Candy Dots in the center of the flowers. Perfect Pennants and Petite Petals stamp sets were used.

 Isn't this cool?  You punch one side of your card stock with the Chevron Punch.  You have to make 3 punches.  Then you take the pieces you punched out and adhere them to the card in the opposite direction. Very easy!

I loved this so much, I made my mom's Mother's Day card using this technique.  The flowers are stamped on white card stock with Strawberry Slush and then topped with with flowers stamped on Vellum and punched with the Petite Petals Punch.  The leaves were punched using the Bird Builder  Punch. My Mother Stamp set is in the Occasions Catalog (only available until June 1st). My colors are Basic Gray, Strawberry Slush, Wild Wasabi, and Whisper White.

Join me for a fun filled weekend to stamp out stress!  

This is a new, small secluded retreat facility in Grand Saline. We will enjoy a weekend filled with fun, food, and friendship.  Don’t miss out on wonderful door prizes, pillow gifts, and Stamp Lotto!  No one will go home empty handed!

Bring your stamping and scrapping supplies and work on those projects that you have gotten behind on, or start your Christmas cards!  Don’t feel like stamping or scrapping?  Go for a leisurely walk, sit under the trees with a glass of wine or shop ‘til you drop during at Canton Trade Days!  Too tired after shopping?  Climb into the hammock under the trees and read a good book or take a nice long nap. How long has it been since you could take the time to enjoy reading or napping? This is your weekend!

Have you ever been to a drive in movie?  We have a new twist on that!  How about movie night on the lawn?  Bring a quilt or lawn chair and we will pop some popcorn.  Fun!!

The weekend starts on Friday, check in starts at 10:00 am until Sunday; check out 3:00pm.  Meals are included from Friday dinner through Sunday Breakfast.   Thursday is also an option and check in as early as 10:00am but no meals are included on Thursday. (Would be a good Canton day!!)

Everyone has their own table to work at.  Comfy chairs, lights and drink holders at each table.  Work station to put your big shots and other bigger tools.  Full kitchen and two bathrooms. Free Wi-Fi.

TWO new classes

I am adding something new to my stampin’ schedule!  I hope it will be something that will work for you and your friends!  I will still be holding my monthly stamp a stack the first Saturday of the month (unless otherwise notified) but I want to add another monthly option. These classes will start in May and will be held on the 3^rd Thursday of the month.  

It will be Open house style stamping, you pick what time works best for your schedule and stop in anytime during the Stamp and Shop Hours. I am hoping this will attract those who either don't work outside the home, work part time or get off early.  Even if you get off at 5:00 you should be able to get here and complete the class by 7:30 and you will get home at a decent time!  Registration is required so I can have all your supplies ready and waiting. The first class you will make 6 different cards using a variety of stamps and accessories, envelopes included. Allow about 1 1/2 hours to stamp cards. Class Fee: $15.00 or place a $35 order that day and your class is FREE.

This  Thursday Card Class  is called, Perfectly Bundled. You will be offered two bundles each month.  Each bundle will feature a stamp set, designer paper and a coordinating accessory to match. You will complete 3 cards each using the same stamp set, paper and embellishment from the featured Bundles. You will enjoy the versatility of a particular stamp set and the coordinating Stampin’ Up! Products.

What exactly is a bundle? 

• 3 cards created with the same Stamp Set, Paper, Ink and Embellishment.

The second class: Papercrafting Possibilities

During the same time slot I will be offering another class.  You may take one or the other or BOTH!  This one is called Papercrafting Possibilities and will feature a non-card project.  The price on this one will vary depending on the project.  Some months may be a kit that Stampin’ Up! Offers.  The project for May is a Photo Booklet with a custom made envelope.  It is an easy, cute project that you can use or give as a gift.  And after you learn to make it you can do more using different designer papers, colors, etc.

This is a fun little project that you can keep or give as a gift filled with picture or without.  It will slip easily into your purse so you can easily show off your pictures whenever you want. We will also make a custom envelope to slide it into!
