Saturday's Stamp A Stack

I started my new version of the Stamp-A-Stack Class on Saturday.  This month we made Thinking of You and Encouragement cards.  Every month will be a different assortment, 12 cards, 2 each of 6 designs. There will be two different sentiments each month.  You will receive a Stamp case for each group of cards for storage and easy organization.  Each case will be labeled;  Birthday cards, Get well cards, sympathy cards, etc. I will have pictures of these later.

I hope you will sign up for April's class!  It will be April 5th. This is such a great way to collect cards to have on hand for any occasion that comes up and an excellent way to store them!

Here are 3 of the cards we made Saturday.

I found this card design on pinterset. It was not a stampin' Up! card, so I converted it using our products.
Products: Just Sayin' and Happy Watercolor Stamp Sets
Word Bubbles Framelits Dies, Big Shot
Epic Day This and That DSP
The little green dots were made by punching circles with the large side of the crop-a-dile and then sticking them onto mini glue dots. They resemble candy dots!

I cased this card from Jill Hilliard.  The only thing I changed was the embossing folder.
Products: Zoo Babies and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set
Arrows Embossing Folder
Squares Collection Framelits
Gumball Green Cardstock and Ink

I cased this card design from Krystal's Cards.  I used In Colors, changed the greeting and added a Large Rhinestone.
Products:  A Dozen Thoughts and Flower Shop Stamp Sets
Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder
Pansy Punch and Bird Builder Punch (used wings for the leaves)
2013-2015 In Color DSP Stack
Coastal Cabana, Old Olive and Whisper White Cardstock
Coastal Cabana Ink
Large Rhinestone

New Thinlit Card Dies!

Amazing new Thinlits Dies available today!

Starting today you can order these:

You are going to flip/flop over these new dies!!  The easy way to get a fun fold - no measuring!!

Watch it in action here:
They've been called flip cards, flip flop cards, swing cards, and more-but they have always been a bit tricky to create. Well...not anymore! Stampin' Up!'s amazing new Thinlits Card Dies cut and score to create a card that flips in just one step.
thinlits card dies, stampin up, dostamping, dawn olchefske, big shot, fun fold cards, Label-Card-Thinlits thinlits card dies, stampin up, dostamping, dawn olchefske, big shot, fun fold cards, Circle-Card-Thinlits

With the number of dies you're getting, plus the die that creates the card itself, the price is a great value-especially to create an interactive card!

The main shape in the cards (circle and label) can work with a lot of our stamp images so you can create tons of different kinds of cards using many different stamp sets. Here are just a few suggestions to get you started:
Label Card Thinlits Die (item 133479):
  • Happy Day Stamp Set (item 130294 W item 130297 C)
Circle Card Thinlits Die (item 133480):
  • Worth the Wait Stamp (item 131094 W)
  • Five-Way Flower Stamp (item 131088 W)
Both card dies pair well with:
  • Oh, Hello Stamp Set (item 131931 W item 130733 C)
  • Yippee-Skippee! Stamp Set (item 131341 W item 131344 C)
  • Really Good Greetings Stamp Set (item 130330 W item 130333 C)
  • Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set (item 130324 W item 130327 C)
  • These dies also work well with our new magnetic platform (item 130658) so you can place the dies exactly where you want them!

Feeling Sentimental

Here is a card I made the other day.  It was demoed on Stage at Regional.  I added a little brown spatter to it with the Color Spritzer Tool and an Early Espresso Marker.

I love this stamp set, Feeling Sentimental,  from the Sale-a-bration brochure!  I used Early Espresso, Very Vanilla Card Stock  and Pool Party Core'dinations Card Stock.  I ran the Early Espresso card front through the BIg Shot using the Argyle Embossing Folder.

Umbre Dyed Ribbon

You have all seen the new color fad...Umbre right?  Colors that blend together from dark to light.  Did you know you can dye our natural Cotton Ribbon?  You can also stamp on it!  The Natural 7/8" ribbon was introduced in our Holiday Catalog, but is still available in the Spring Catalog.  This is so much fun!  I learned this at the Dallas Regional this past week end.  So here is how you do it.....
Start with the length of Cotton Ribbon you need for your project, 3 Markers in different shades, and an Aqua Painter

Color one side of ribbon with the lightest color

Color the center with the next lightest color

Then color the other edge with the darker of the three

Now take your Aqua Painter and blend the colors together.  You will need to get it pretty wet and just blend until you like the way it looks

Now flip it over and wet the back side so the color bleeds through

You can let it air dry or use your Heat Tool.  The Heat tool works great and because the ribbon is cotton it won't melt or get wavy on you.

In this picture I am doing a long length of ribbon in shades of pink.  Because it was much longer than the piece above, I actually sprayed a little water on it and then blended with the Aqua Painter.

I stamped one of our cute little Kraft gift boxes with Versa Mark using the Secret Garden Stamp set

The tag was made using the 2 1/2 inch Circle Punch and the Secret Garden Stamp set and Framelits.  There is a Dahlia attached to the center of the cut out flower.  The Sentiment is from the stamp set Sassy Salutations.

Isn't this a nice little gift box to give someone?
So what do you think about the umbre ribbon?  Pretty cute Huh?  And it is so easy!  You can create any color combination you want with our awesome markers!

I Love Butterflies!

Butterflies are so beautiful!  I love watching them and photographing them.  I think that is why I tend to make a lot of cards with butterflies!!

Here are a couple that I recently made.

This is the beutifful Swallowtail stamp that is in the Spring catalog.  I used glossy CS, stamped it with Black Stazon and sponged the colors on with a sponge dauber. Then I ran it rhrough the Big shot using the Vine Street embossing folder from the Sale-a-bration catalog.

This one in done with Marina Mist and Whisper White CS.  I punched the Butterflies from Parker's Patterns DSP using the Bitty Butterfly Punch.  The greeting is  the single stamp, Beautiful Birthday.  I also used the tiny pearls and the embossing folder,Needlepoint Border.

Swallowtail Stamp in Black and White with a couple of Rhinestones.  Just Beautiful!  And so Easy!

February Hostess Club

If you are not in one of my Hostess Clubs, you should be!  Or you can start your own with your friends.  We meet once a month and look what we made this month!

Are these not the cutest things?  We had so much fun playing with these dresses.  I let the girls decorate them the way they wanted, depending on the "Fabric" card stock they chose, they then picked their ribbon, pearls, flowers, etc.  You can get so creative with these!  It is like playing with paper dolls, only with out the doll : )  You can do so many different things with these dresses and for all kinds of occasions!  You can find these framelits on page 32 of the Spring Catalog and can order here. and they are used with the Big Shot.  You can get a great deal if you purchase the bundle which includes the Stamp set!  The paper I used is the Print Poetry on page 16 of the Spring Catalog.  It is a small pad and is excellent to use in your card making.  You can cut 3 dresses from one sheet!!
This is the second card...We used the Chalkboard Technique which is hot right now! Looks like a chalkboard, huh?   We used the You're Amazing Stamp Set and the World Spectacular DSP.  Would you like to learn how to do this or make cute dress cards?  Contact me and I can teach you!!
