Fall Baby Shower

My daughter Jennifer is having her third child, Emerson Rhys, in January. Her sister Megan and I are preparing a Baby Shower for her.  It is going to be a gift card shower.  She has a lot of baby things, but this little guy is arriving in the winter and the other two were Summer babies.  She wanted a Fall Theme so here are a few things we have been working on.  Can't wait to put it all together.  I will post pictures of the actual shower once we have it.

Rustic Wood Fall Baby Boy Shower Invitation Pumpkin B is for Boy Printable Custom Invite on Etsy, $18.00 This is the invitation we made using Stampin' Up! products. Jennifer really liked one she found on  Etsy (the printable is the one on the left), but I knew I could hand stamp my own and make it similar to the one she liked.  So this is my version. I used Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock, and ink, Pumpkin Pie ink, Hardwood background stamp, Larger Than Life Alphabet and Numbers stamp set for the "b", and the little pumpkin is from the stamp set Holiday Home.  I also used our Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango Bakers Twine.  I hand cut the little banners from our Motley Monsters and Brights Color Collection Designer Series Papers.
This is a big wooden letter that we covered with fall leaves

I gathered pine cones on our camping trip lat month and made this garland.  I screwed  small eye rings to the tops of the pine cones and threaded jute string through them, then tied on fall fabric strips.  My floor looks dirty but the pine cones wee shedding their seeds!

This was fun!  I went out to my storage area and found these old mason jars.  Painted them with acrylic glass paint in fall colors, then distressed them.  These are all over Pinterest.  Love Pinterest!! Aren't they cute?

So this i it for now.  Still have some projects in mind to do.  Will share those later!

Bird Themed Baby Shower

My daughter Megan and I gave my youngest daughter Jennifer a baby shower this past Saturday.  I have been planning it for months now and it was planned for outdoors.  Well, all who live in our area know what happened Friday....it rained and poured ALL day!  I was beside myself.  But we kept preparing and hoping that Saturday would be OK.  We went to bed late, got up early to set up and finish preparing the food.  It rained again!  Just a little, but it did put us behind a bit.  The shower started at 10 am.  I was pretty stressed, but it all went beautifully and everyone enjoyed it.  I love planning and creating parties!  It is so much fun!  Sometimes stressful, but still fun! I wanted to share some pictures with you.

Baby Shower in the Works!

My youngest daughter Jennifer is having her second baby in July.  It is going to be a girl this time!  So my other daughter Megan and I are putting together a baby shower that will be held in May.  The theme is birds and old/vintage style.  The colors are blue and coral. Here are a couple of things we are doing.  I am using Stampin' Up! Ruffled Ribbon in Calypso Coral and Pool Party on the Diaper wreath.  (Got this great idea from Pinterest, but it was too plain so I added the birdnest to the center!).  The table center pieces are old Mason jars filled with birdseed.  We cut peach tree branches and spray painted them white and will add a big sprig of Rosemary.  The bird is cut with the Big Shot using Bird Die.  It is made with Calypso Coral Card stock and rand through an embossing folder.  We used different textures on each of the birds. Of course I had to add  rhinestones for the eyes.  For the favors we fashioned bird nests with excelsior and put dove chocolate eggs in the nest (bought these after Easter on sale!).  The tag is made using the Decorative Label Punch and the Stamp set Best of Everything. I had that cute coral ribbon left over from Sale-a-Bration to tie around the Small cello bag.  I will share more as we get more done or after the shower.  I will take lots of pictures of the decor!
